THRIVE Impact Summer School

One week. Forty students. Mountains, dialogue, and the most pressing challenge of our generation.

Die THRIVE Impact Summer School findet auf Englisch statt, weshalb der nachfolgende Text nicht übersetzt wurde.

THRIVE brings together a diverse, carefully selected group of approximately 40 university students from around the world for an intensive week of learning, reflection, and connection. The program takes climate change as its lens for exploring the broader question: how can individuals and organizations act effectively in the face of complex, global challenges?

Program Structure

The program opens with a weekend journey into the Swiss Alps. Far from lecture halls, participants engage with nature, share their personal stories and motivations, and begin building the community that will sustain the week’s work. This is not a team-building exercise—it is a deliberate immersion in the landscapes and relationships that ground meaningful action.

The main program week takes place at SQUARE, the University of St. Gallen’s innovative learning center. Days alternate between expert input, facilitated dialogue, group projects, and structured reflection. Evenings are informal spaces for cross-cultural exchange.
