Lia Krebs and Dino Darmonski from the Center for Leadership and Innovation in Society (CLIS-HSG) recently attended this year's Annual Conference of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) in Kristiansand, Norway. The conference theme, "Navigating High Waters — Managing in an Age of Disruption", provided a fitting backdrop for discussions on governance, responsibility, and the societal relevance of management research.
Both researchers presented work from their ongoing doctoral projects. Dino Darmonski presented "When Translation Fails: Institutional Barriers and Frictions to Digital Co-creation in Climate Governance". The paper examined how digital participation platforms in municipal climate governance encounter institutional resistance, and how translation breakdowns emerge between the actors involved.
Lia Krebs presented "A Relational View of Business Orchestration: Enabling Corporate Social Innovation for Human Rights in Global Value Chains" and also participated in the EURAM Doctoral Colloquium. We are particularly pleased that her paper was shortlisted for the EURAM 2026 Relevant and Responsible Research Award — a meaningful recognition of her research work.
We would like to thank the organisers and fellow participants for an inspiring conference and look forward to continuing the conversations that began in Kristiansand.
