Swiss Change Makers Barometer 2026: The first comprehensive survey of the Swiss sustainability sector

In collaboration with GreenBuzz, CLIS-HSG has launched the Swiss Change Makers Barometer 2026 — the first national, person-centred survey of sustainability professionals in Switzerland. The survey is now open.

Whilst numerous reports focus on sustainability at an organisational level, there has so far been no clear picture of the people driving this transformation day in, day out — their experiences, their challenges and the conditions under which they work. This is precisely where the Swiss Change Makers Barometer 2026 comes in.

The initiative was developed by GreenBuzz in collaboration with CLIS-HSG and is the first national survey to focus on sustainability professionals in Switzerland. It combines a nationwide quantitative survey with qualitative interviews across sectors — from businesses to NGOs and the public sector to academia — thereby creating a comprehensive picture of the Swiss sustainability community.

The Barometer explores three key questions: How are sustainability professionals in Switzerland actually doing, and what is needed to make an impact? How deeply and effectively is sustainability embedded within organisations? And where do the greatest gaps and opportunities lie for accelerating systemic progress?

The findings are intended to inform policy, strategy and cross-sectoral collaboration, and to create a previously missing foundation for the Swiss sustainability community.

The survey is now open. Anyone working in the field of sustainability in Switzerland (in whatever role and sector) is invited to take part and thus contribute to this stock-taking exercise.
